A woman with hope.
I have learned over the years that my family’s health history has opened me to some of my problems, but not many of the major ones. My health issues have been incredibly unique to me so far. Life has been complicated by my health, but I do what I can to keep things moving beyond fatigue, doctor’s appointments, and other medical adventures. Occasionally I proceed.
I managed to have a couple of kids who are a miracle for me. I was diagnosed with my first autoimmune disease after my second child and told to stop having any more children. My kids are now tested yearly for many of my problems that can be passed on genetically.
I used to work, really overwork, myself in the business world. I stopped working after continuing to be diagnosed with many autoimmune diseases and dealing with uncontrolled epilepsy for a year and a half before I left my job. Now, I am on disability, and I take classes part-time about information in the medical field.
I have a wonderful family that takes care of me when I cannot handle myself, and much of the rest of the time as well now that I can no longer drive and do many of the other things that I used to enjoy. I have some extremely wonderful friends that have been part of my life for decades that I can call at a moment’s notice if I need them, and one of them is the reason I have decided to put all this information out to the world.
